The Echo of the Mountains
The Echo of the Mountains
The towering massifs of the Armenian mountains have held a mythical power in the imagination of our ancestors. The people often envisioned them as living, speaking, breathing beings.
This idea is reflected in the print on the back of the T-shirt, featuring Mount Aragats, Sarrtsali, Sandukhtasar, and Mount Ara, each with its own echo.
The front of the T-shirt depicts a mountaineer following the echo of Mount Aragats.
The power of the echoes of Armenia’s mountains is beautifully captured by the renowned Armenian writer Gevorg Emin:
“Speak carefully in Armenia,
For every peak and valley here
Echoes your words with mighty force,
And carries them far and near…”
